Leanne Scrogham, was initially crowned winner of The Home Care Registered Manager, Great North West Care Award, earning a place in the national final which was held at Birmingham’s ICC on Friday 8th March.
Leanne is the Registered Branch Manager for Ulverston and Whitehaven at The Human Support Group and received the regional award in Autumn 2018 as the judge’s recognised, how passionate Leanne was about her service users, colleagues and delivering a CQC Outstanding service.
It was wonderful to see the very best in social care receiving red carpet treatment on Friday at the awards ceremony and everyone really enjoyed the night. We were all absolutely delighted to hear the judges announce Leanne as the national winner of the Registered Home Care Manager of the Year! Leanne was praised for turning the branch into an Outstanding service by sheer persistence and determination whilst managing three locations in a country wide rural area.
We are so proud of Leanne’s achievement, the award is fully deserved and we are so pleased that her hard work, determination and pure kindness has finally been recognised! Leanne has continued to go above and beyond in her role and is certainly a role model to others!
Leanne received hundreds of supportive messages from friends, family and colleagues. Commenting proudly on her win, Leanne said,
