The term ‘extra care’ housing is used to describe developments that comprise self-contained homes and apartments with support services available to enable residents to live independently in their own homes.

It comes in a variety of forms and may be described in different ways, for example:

  • Sheltered Housing
  • Housing With Care
  • Retirement Communities
  • Or Villages

At the Human Support Group we provide home care services to residents living within extra care schemes who may require varying degrees of support from, basic help around the home, to complex care involving 2-1 support for personal care carried out by experienced carers.
